Work with us
Being a member of the Cotswolds National Landscape team gives you the opportunity to contribute directly to the work we do looking after the Cotswolds. We work with a number of communities and organisations devoted to looking after this unique and special area of England. We want to make sure this is a positive, vibrant organisation committed to delivering our aims and objectives as efficiently and effectively as possible.
We’re looking for a Grants Coordinator
- £28,264 per annum (pro-rata)
- Part-time (30 hours), 3-year fixed term contract.
- Flexible working requests will be considered.
For the next three years, National Lottery Heritage Fund are supporting our small grants scheme; Caring for the Cotswolds. The Grants Coordinator role offers an exciting opportunity to join our team and manage a portfolio of projects. You will promote the scheme, help applicants through the application and claim process, and then report on the projects you’ve helped develop to our stakeholders.
What makes Caring for the Cotswolds unique is the involvement of young people in the decision-making process. The role holder will develop a youth panel to help assess the projects. We’re also going to be offering young people paid work placements and the role holder will coordinate these as part of the project. This new role will enable us to involve more young people than ever before, empowering them and providing valuable work experience.

Equal Opportunities
We are working to develop a more inclusive and equal opportunities recruitment process, so please note that an academic degree or equivalent is not an essential requirement for this role. We will welcome supporting statements in written format, short film format, or voice recordings. All supporting statements will be considered equally. Whatever your method, please ensure that you demonstrate your skills, experience, and suitability – and why you want the job.
We also welcome applications from people who are from ethnically diverse backgrounds or who are living with health conditions or disabilities.
Diversity Statement
We’re building a culture where diversity is valued, and we can all be ourselves. We still have work to do, but are strongly committed to inclusive practices which demonstrate fairness, equality, and anti-racism in everything we do. We will not tolerate less favourable treatment of anyone, especially those with legally protected characteristics, and welcome applications from all sections of communities.
Work experience
The Cotswolds National Landscape team welcomes applications from young people for work experience across our dynamic and varied organisation. We are a small, friendly organisation – and we can offer students a positive introduction to a broad range of work experiences in the conservation and environmental sector.
In the academic year 2024-25, we are offering two four-day work experience programmes:
- Monday 23rd June to Thursday 26th June 2025
- Monday 14th July to Thursday 17th July 2025
Occasionally, we have opportunities for work experience at other times in the year – but this is variable and decided on a case-by-case basis.
Places are very limited and so we encourage young people to apply early. We will prioritise applications from schools within the Cotswolds National Landscape, and from students with a demonstrable interest in working within our sector.
If you would like to gain work experience with us, please email our Outdoor Learning Officer at helen.komor@cotswolds-nl.org.uk.
