A hike around open Cotswold country through a battlefield site and a pretty village.

Starting from the Lansdown Park and Ride site at the pavilion (a parking charge is applicable), we cross to the site of a civil war battle before walking along the north-facing escarpment with views of the Cotswolds and Severn valley. Dropping into the ancient village of North Stoke we then use green lanes to visit Prospect Stile, a viewpoint across the city of Bath, before crossing Bath Racecourse to return to the start point.
