Cam Peak to Owlpen: Outliers and Escarpment.

This moderately challenging six-mile walk starts at Cam Peak car park. We walk across Cam Long Down and along the northern edge of Uley Bury before descending to Uley and Owlpen. The route back follows the Ewelme stream before cutting west of Downham Hill to arrive back at the carpark. Please bring your own refreshments for the rest stop along the way.

Route description

Enjoy the scenery of the Cotswold outliers, Cam Peak, Cam Long Down and Downham Hill. We will also be ascending and descending the Cotswold escarpment near Uley Bury, with a total ascent / descent of around 1100 feet. Uley Church and Owlpen Manor will be distinctive buildings on route. The Ewelme River has numerous ponds along its course as the route returns to Cam.
