Route description

This 5.5 mile circular walk explores the varied landscape around the beautiful village of Hawkesbury Upton. Passing through fields and woodland belonging to the Badminton Estate, the route joins the Cotswold Way through Claypit Wood before climbing uphill to the Somerset Monument. Further along the Cotswold Way are some of the most far-reaching views in this area.

There are two short but steep sections on this walk, as well as numerous gates and a couple of stiles.

Parking is on public roads and there are two pubs and a village shop in Hawkesbury Upton itself.
