Route description

The walk begins and ends at The Crown in Frampton Mansell. It includes an attractive section of the Thames and Severn canal, passes Bakers Mill once occupied by Daphne Neveille and famous for its otters, and rises to the villages of Oakridge Lynch, Far Oakridge and Water Lane. We return to the Frome valley via the woodland walk along Holy Brook and back to The Crown, which is open for lunches until 2.30. https://www.thecrowninn-cotswolds.co.uk

The walk is on village roads, footpaths and pasture. In the event of very muddy conditions some adjustment may be made as necessary.

Basic fitness needed but there are two moderate slopes with climbs of around 200ft. A pair of sticks would be useful on some grassy slopes.
