CNL60 - Pre-history

An 8 mile walk through several quiet hamlets, part of the Ditchley Estate, a manor with grounds designed by capability Brown and a secluded river valley. An intriguing feature along the route is a megalithic stone, adding a sense of ancient mystery and history to the journey. A clear day will give us expansive views.

Route description

Leaving Enstone we pass the hamlet of Fulwell, see a blue plaque and enter Ditchley Park before reaching views of Kiddington Hall in the distance, a perfect place for a coffee stop. The walk continues along the beautiful Glyme Valley, where the route can be wet depending on rainfall at the time. More beautiful countryside to enjoy on our return to Enstone.
