The first of five popular circular walks during 2026 exploring the Wardens' and Windrush Ways, which run between Winchcombe and Bourton on the Water, and the landscape and villages they pass through.

Route description

Each remain a complete walk, so no need to commit to them all. The Ways run between Winchcombe and Bourton on the Water.
This first walk goes through Sudeley Park and up to Deadmanbury Gate on the Wardens’ Way before we join the Windrush Way for a return via Waterhatch to our starting point in Winchcombe.

The walk is mainly along tracks and minor roads but please wear suitable boots and clothing.

There will be mid morning and lunch stops so please bring something to eat and drink.

Subsequent walks are planned for Tuesdays 5 May, 2 June, 14 July, 4 August.
