Route description

Will this be your first opportunity to make good on your New Year’s resolution to go out for a nice winter walk? Starting at Northfield Barn car park, we descend to the Sherborne Brook, crossing the road and then climbing through Ragged Copse to the Ewe Pen buildings. From here we follow the forest track, eventually descending through the sculpture trail before emerging in the village with its church spire and shop. Finally we have a brisk but short climb back to the start,

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
