Route description

A short walk on West Yatton Down S.S.S.I. to look at some of the butterflies and moths there.

Under the expert guidance of Maurice Avent (landowner) we will look at a moth trap set up overnight before touring the reserve. The reserve has a steep slope, many interesting wildflowers and butterflies.

You may like to bring a picnic (for after the visit) otherwise there is The Bell pub in Yatton Keynell. West Yatton Down is near Long Dean, Wiltshire.
