Route description

A walking around quiet and open Cotswold countryside in North Wiltshire.

Starting from Tormarton we briefly follow the M4 before heading into open Wiltshire countryside. Passing Grade 2 listed Kington Down Farmhouse we reach the pretty village of West Kington. From here we follow the Broadmead Brook through several miles of open countryside to reach West Littleton. From here it’s a short stretch of the Cotswold Way back to Tormarton. The route has only two relatively easy stiles, most is on bridle paths.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
