Route description

The walk starts by the church of St Bartholomew (interesting tombs) in Whittington and crosses a series of meadows on the way to Syreford, which is some 250 metres north of the Roman town of Wycomb. The footpath then runs parallel to the river Coln and passes through woodland on the way to Severnhampton where the route crosses the Coln prior to a climb up to Whitehall lane offering great views. The walk then goes downhill towards Whittington through a very attractive valley and enters the village near some of its 16th century cottages.>
