Coln River Trail Leg 6 - Coln St Dennis to Bibury

The sixth leg of our delightful River Coln Trail takes us from Coln St Dennis, passing a number of pretty hamlets on our route to Bibury, before returning to our start. Although one of a series of walks which complete the Coln River Trail to Lechlade, this walk can be enjoyed as a stand alone circular walk.

Route description

The sixth leg of our delightful Coln River walks continues to follow the river, passing through the pretty hamlets of Calcot, Coln Rogers, Winson and Ablington on our way to Bibury. We turn and head back to our start point, via the famous Arlington Row.

Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking

  • Please bring a drink, a snack, lunch and sunscreen. Leaders will not be carrying extra water for others.
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
