THIRD THURSDAY WALK: IT’S A FAIRWAY TO THE WOOD

This month, we start at Stinchcombe Hill Golf Club Café, near Dursley and explore the surrounding woods with some great panoramic views from the Cotswold Way over the River Severn Refreshments can be taken after the walk in the Golf Club.

Route description

Our popular Third Thursday Walk continues in 2026! A two-hour walk every month on the third Thursday starting at 10.30am from a café or pub, where there is an optional opportunity for refreshment at the end of the walk. Come and enjoy the glorious Cotswold National Landscape with us every month! This month we visit the lovely woods around Dursley and start on the Cotswold Way on Stinchcombe Hill.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
