Route description

The eighth leg of our delightful Coln River walks starts from the pub at Quenington and follows the river to Fairford. We visit the lovely ‘wool’ church, renowned for its medieval stained glass windows.  Although one of a series of walks covering the Coln River trail, this route can be enjoyed as a stand alone walk.

There is plenty of parking in the village.  Please park considerately.

Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking

  • Please bring a drink, a snack, lunch and sunscreen. Ensure you have enough water. Leaders will not be carrying extra water for others.
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
