Route description

Starting at Cotswold Farm Park (free parking), this will be a circular walk exploring some of the more remote Cotswold locations on our journey to Guiting Power Church (where we will stop for our picnic lunch).

During the walk we will explore and discuss: drovers routes, the scandal of the Guiting Stone Pipe company, medieval abandoned villages, the history of Guiting, and the Knights Templar.

The Ox Shed cafe at the Cotswold Farm Park opens at 9.30am. Walkers are welcome to buy drinks and snacks at the Cafe before or after the walk.

  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
