Route description

The ninth leg of our delightful Coln River walks starts from Whelford Pools Nature Reserve and on to where the Coln meets the Thames at Inglesham, by The Round House, a former lock keeper’s accommodation.  We then walk along the Thames Path, crossing the Halfpenny Bridge to Lechlade before returning to the start of the walk.  Although one of a series of walks covering the Coln River trail, this route can be enjoyed as a stand alone walk.

There is parking in the Nature Reserve.
