Route description

An easy, minimum mud, walk on the public rights of way around Blenheim. We will detour into Woodstock for a one hour ‘indulgence’ break mid walk. This will give people the opportunity to explore some of the cultural (museum, church, art galleries), hospitality (cafes, pubs) and retail that Woodstock has to offer. It will be up to individual choice what you visit – you just need to be at the meeting point at the agreed time for the walk back to Combe.
Please bring refreshments, if you don’t intend visiting any of Woodstock’s hospitality outlets, for a refreshment break during the Woodstock visit.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
