A Favourite Summer Walk

A gradual climb through fields, woods and hillside settlements to Minchinhampton Common before descending along walled footpaths to the valley. Along the way there are reminders of our industrial heritage. Bring a drink and a snack but plenty of coffee shops and places for lunch in Nailsworth for post walk refreshments.

Route description

This walk was a favourite of one of our long standing wardens, Mike Brinkworth, who sadly died last year. We are offering it in his memory. Mike was a resident of Nailsworth and led walks for the Wardens in the Nailsworth and Horsley areas for many years. He brought a wealth of local knowledge to his walks, which were very popular with attendees.
