Route description

Starting from Adlestrop (famed for its poetic connection), the walk takes us through varied landscape including fields, woodland and tracks. We’ll see grand houses (including Chastleton) and small villages, and splendid views over the Gloucestershire and North Oxfordshire countryside.

Please bring a snack for a mid walk stop.
There is a small shop in Adlestrop which should be open for ice cream, teas and coffee on our return. There are a range of pubs and cafes in Stow and Moreton.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
