Route description

The walk heads across fields to Shipton Solers, Shipton and Shipton Oliffe. We then follow the Gloucestershire Way to Hampen, where we pick blackberries on the old road that crossed the railway bridge – this road is closed owing to the weak bridge. We then head back to Andoversford via Syreford with the opportunity of picking more blackberries along the way. At the time of writing, the Royal Oak in Andoversford is not open – you will need to drive into Charlton Kings or Northleach for lunch, if needed.
