Route description

This walk takes in Slad and the valley which runs north west from there. There are some fine views from the higher ground around Down Hill. The walk starts through Frith Woods and descends to Slad. From there it descends into the valley and follows a road and bridle way up to Down Hill.

The route then goes east through Down Wood above the Dillay Brook. Emerging from the wood we turn south west the route follows the ridge before turning west to return to Bull Banks. There is a very steep descent, over approximately 200 metres, toward the end of the walk. Walking poles advised.
