Distance

5.5 miles / 8.85 km

Duration

3.5 to 3 hours

Difficulty

Moderate

Shape

Circular

Batsford Park belonged to the Mitford family and their colourful daughters – we’ll enlighten you about the girls! Then on to Blockley where Father Brown is filmed, and the parish church of Saints Peter and Paul is renamed as St. Mary’s Roman Catholic church for the programme.

Bring snack and drink for a break midway.

Batsford Arboretum is a great place to visit, and lunch can be had after the walk in the grounds or in the café.

If not stopping for lunch, Moreton-in-Marsh Market Day will be in full swing, and walkers can walk the 1.4 miles there as it is very straight forward walk there and back (may be muddy!).

PLEASE NOTE THE 9.30 AM START.
