Route description

Starting at Chadlington, we go up to the old Salt Way and will see more hints of history as we walk down and back over fields and through woodland. The walk includes a megalith, a working woodland and some more unusual land uses. We’ll stop for a picnic lunch so please bring refreshments.

Please bring £1 for parking at the Chadlington Sports Club (and Memorial Hall): parking space has been reserved for us.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
