Route description

The route starts at the Chedworth airfield and proceeds through Chedworth Woods. This leads us to the Roman Villa where we will stop for coffee, there will probably be not enough time for everyone to buy coffee. Please bring your National Trust membership, if you have one, just to ‘log in’ as their funding is based on number of visitors. We will then carry on to the village of Chedworth and walk back across the airfield.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
  • Organised by: Cotswold Voluntary Wardens

Led by: Ray Goold; Pat McCarthy; Roy Taylor; John Milroy.
