Route description

This is the first of two walks over a weekend to walk the whole of the Circuit of Bath route.

We start from the Odd Down Park and Ride (do remember to pay for parking) and walk to the pretty village of Englishcombe. From there we follow the Newton Brook towards Bath Mill for a short while before climbing towards Carr’s Wood. We then head towards Weston village and start the climb up to Lansdown, checking the views as we go.

We stay on the plateau for a while before descending to the Wooley Valley and from there climb towards Upper Swainswick and then onto Little Solsbury Hill where we can savour the views back towards Bath.

We descend towards Batheaston, our end point for the day. Guided by your walk leaders we will return to the start point using public transport.

Please bring snacks and a packed lunch.

Just turn up for the walk, alternatively you can book this walk through Bathscape.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
