Route description

This circular walk around Cirencester will begin and end at our meeting place in Market Square/Parish Church. Cirencester has many well known historical buildings and landmarks to see but it also has green wildlife corridors and spaces. Our walk will explore both. Terrain will vary and some sections could be muddy depending on the weather so sensible footwear is a must. Please bring your own drink and snack for the walk. If you choose to stay longer, Cirencester has many eating places. Various car parks provide parking (at a fee) and toilet facilities. There is also a regular bus service to the town.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.

Organised by: Cotswold Voluntary Wardens

Led by: Patrick McCarthy, Ray Goold, Roy Taylor, John Milroy.
