Route description

From the village up Greenway Lane to the Cotswold Way as we remember the 60th anniversary of the Cotswolds National Landscape being designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We then get great views across the Severn Vale and possibly across as far as Wales and the Malverns.
We will get a view of the “missing link” A417 roadworks, and hopefully the new Cotswold Way bridge will be nearly complete.
Some of the return route will use the Gloucestershire Way.
Bring drinks and a snack for a short break midway.
We afterwards hope to have Christmas lunch in the Cheese Rollers. Please keep an eye on this page for information on deposits and menu choices a few weeks before.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
