Route description

We start with a brief tour through the village of Blockley, learning some of its history. Then out of the village through the woodland of Dovedale and up to the ‘Five Mile Drive’, where we explore the origins of that name. After passing the site of the abandoned medieval village of Upton, we head along field paths through Norcombe Wood, discover more of Five Mile Drive, then return to Blockley.
The walk is mostly on good farm tracks with some road walking.
