Coln River Trail Leg 4 - Withington to Chedworth

The fourth leg of our delightful River Coln Trail takes us on a lovely walk from Withington to Chedworth and back. Although one of a series of walks which complete the Coln River Trail to Lechlade, this walk can be enjoyed as a stand alone circular walk.

Route description

The fourth leg of our delightful Coln River walks follows the river  and quiet lanes out of Withington towards Chedworth Roman Villa. The return journey takes us through the ancient woodlands of Chedworth and Withington woods and over an old World War 2 airfield

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, lunch and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
