Four Churches and a Heritage Train Ride

Route description

After Broadway we will head south via the Wychavon Way and thence the Cotswold Way before turning off into Broadway Coppice to head down into Buckland. We will walk through Laverton, Stanton, Stanway, Wood Stanley and Didbrook before heading north parallel to the GWSR railway to Toddington. We will take short breaks to visit the four churches enroute with a longer break for lunch at Stanton Church. Please bring your own lunch and snacks for the short breaks.

To give time to purchase tickets and embark the train please arrive no later then 09:45.

Light refreshments can be purchased at the Cotswold Halt or on the train prior to departure subject to availability. End of walk refreshments can be purchased at the station or the Cotswold Halt – Closing time 4.30pm.

• Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
• Please bring weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
• The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
• All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
• Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
• Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
