A 10.5 mile circular walk from Combe on public paths through the Blenheim estate, into Woodstock and the beautiful village of Wootton.  Return via a different route through Blenheim Park.

Route description

  • We will start at the village of Combe and observe some beautiful frescos in the church before heading through Blenheim Palace where we will have a refreshment stop after about an hour. Then continuing through Blenheim Palace we head to Woodstock to the Water Meadows and through beautiful countryside towards Wooton. Before Wootton we will stop for a lunch break with views before our return journey using different paths through Blenheim back to Coombe.
  • Please bring refreshments including lunch.
  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
