From Batsford to Blockley and Back

An Autumnal walk over the hill from Batsford Arboretum to the charming village of Blockley, familiar to viewers of Father Brown as the fictional village of Kembleford. Our return route takes in the small village of Batsford.

Route description

We start from the car park at Batsford Arboretum (lower level, near the Birds of Prey Centre) and walk over the hill to Blockley, which will make a suitable coffee stop. Bring your own, or purchase a coffee to go from the Blockley Village Shop and Cafe. We then return in a circular route past the village of Batsford, and will hope to benefit from the glorious Autumn colours.

This is a relaxed walk of about 5.5 miles.  The cafeteria at Batsford Arboretum provides excellent lunches.
