Route description

If you like to reflect upon the architectural history of an area as you walk, then do join us as we explore samples from Medieval to Modern times. From the surprise of the Doom Painting, discover the estate that inspired Jane Austin’s Mansfield Park, the hidden house that hosted a PM’s wedding and the organic farm that inspired an aspirational Wellness brand. The route will be mainly firm, using estate roads and paths.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen.  If hot weather is forecast, please ensure you have enough water.
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
