Route description

A flat walk starting from Shipton Moyne. Heading out to Westonbirt, we take in Westonbirt House as the backdrop to the parkland we are walking through. Now a private school, it has gone through many architectural changes. We walk past the 9-hole golf course belonging to the school and into The National Arboretum and the beautiful Silk Wood on the Macmillan Way. The tree colours during this part of the year are exceptional and we can take a rest at this point to enjoy the splendour before heading back to our start point.
