Route description

The walk starts at the changing rooms for Lansdown Playing fields at the Lansdown Park and Ride. It begins by descending to the Primrose Hill nature reserve and onto a section of the Cotswold Way through Sion Hill into Bath.
The path then takes us to four of the less well-known crescents in Bath (Cavendish, Somerset, Lansdown and Camden) before passing through Beacon Hill and Fairfield Park.
The walk returns by climbing up the Charlcombe valley stopping at the picturesque 12th century church of St Mary and then on footpaths, with views across the Avon Valley, to Lansdown
Cemetery and the neo-classical Beckford’s tower and ride before returning via the playing fields to the starting point.

Please bring refreshments and a packed lunch.
