Route description

Just under four miles, this is a stile-free walk, largely on level ground. Starting outside the Scout Hut on Old London Road, we walk to the viewpoint of Wotton Hill, before heading along the Cotswold escarpment through Westridge Woods to the Iron Age hillfort at Brackenbury Ditches. From there the route continues to the Tyndale Monument above North Nibley and the views down the Severn and across to the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons. We return through the beech woods to Conygres Woods, finishing at the nature reserve on Old London Road that is a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its rare plants.
