Route description
The circular route ascends from 75m asl to 220m asl on moderately steep slopes. Crossing the Cam-Stinchcombe road, we walk up the ancient escarpment track to reach Stinchcombe Hill. We follow the Cotswold Way part way around the Hill, with wide reaching views over the Severn Vale. The path continues down through the woods to give views of Stancombe Park. A short section of lane takes us to a downhill path, then we follow the contours across pasture fields back to Stinchcombe village.
Please note that there are no toilet facilities on this route. Walking poles could be useful for the slopes. The group will stop for a refreshment break, so please bring your own drink and snack. If you are looking for food or toilets after the walk, the Leaf and Ground café is just a mile away.
