Visit the parish of Syde and the Church of St Mary’s, pass the village of Caudle Green and on to Brimpsfield with St Michaels Church and the site of a Norman Castle.

Meeting place near the toilets in the layby on the A417. Driving from Cirencester pass the Highwayman Pub and road to Winstone and the layby is approx. 1km on the left. On A417 from Gloucester you need to exit at the Elkstone turning and re-enter the A417 going towards Gloucester the layby is then 1 km on left. It is a long layby usually with many lorries parked the walk starts at the far end.
