Route description

I have reversed a walk that was enjoyed last year, and look forward to doing it again. Routes always seem different the other way round !  We go through Whichford Woods, round Brailes Hill, touch on Brailes itself, climb Mine Hill, and return past the Wild Sauna.

If you like an undulating walk and don’t mind a couple of interesting stiles, then this is for you.  Bring refreshments for lunch and a drinks stop.  The Straw Kitchen is a lovely place to go after the walk and reward yourself with cake and a cuppa.

  • Please wear weather-appropriate footwear and clothing for walking
  • Please bring a drink, a snack, and sunscreen
  • The day before a walk, please check to ensure it is still running – and for any exceptional weather forecasts / warnings
  • All walk leaders are appropriately trained and have basic first-aid skills
  • Assistance dogs (on short leads) are welcome
  • Guided walks with the Wardens are free, but we welcome donations to help us sustain our work across the Cotswolds National Landscape.
