The opportunity to take a look, and learn more about the wild flowers we see every day and easily overlook, and to visit a farm where wildflower seed is produced.
Route description
Starting from the car park at the Lansdown Monument we walk down to Emorsgate at Manor Farm, Langridge (the wildflower seed producers). We hope to look out for wild flowers on the way and, at the farm, walk along the edge of the production fields looking at the plants in flower in their rows. We then walk back up the hill, by another route, a fairly steep climb up to the monument.
The walk will be led by Richard and Pauline Wilson who have an encyclopedic knowledge of trees and plants and can share this in an entertaining and fascinating way.
