Great Rissington and Little Rissington on the Diamond Way

Back to Guided Walks page

A circular walk from Great Rissington to Little Rissington and back.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE START: Please meet FROM 9.30 AM inside the church prior to our scheduled start of 10:00. Every Tuesday morning volunteers have teas/coffee/cake available at St John's and, for our walk, they are providing this service for us at the earlier time of 09:30. Payment is by donation and toilet facilities are available. The walk goes through the picturesque village to head north to Little Rissington. We then walk west to meet the river Dikler and the Diamond Way. We head south to get back to Great Rissington. There are some places to eat in Great Rissington or you could head off to Bourton on the Water where there are more cafes and pubs. Please bring a drink/snack.

This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
