Not going to Grove after all!

Back to Guided Walks page

This is a scenic circular walk to the enchanting Cotswold village of Hazleton. There are no stiles and elevation changes are gradual in most places. There is one slightly challenging downhill stretch but it is quite short and we will take it carefully.

This 4.5-mile loop is a delightful way to enjoy Cotswolds’ natural beauty and historic charm. The trail takes you through meadows and gently rolling fields with, in some places, panoramic views of the Cotswold landscape. En route you will pass ancient drystone walls, hedgerows and a small wildflower reserve where you may spot local wildlife such as rabbits, deer and songbirds. We will be stopping for you to explore the picturesque and typical Cotswold church at Hazelton. Please be aware that the walk does not start at Notgrove village car park and the locals ask that you do not park there. NB the Notgrove café is closed on Tuesdays. If lunch facilities post walk are required, there are pubs in the villages of Cold Aston and Naunton nearby. You will need to carry water and snacks, as there are no facilities along the route. We ask that you check the website for any last-minute changes before embarking on your journey. On arrival at Kitehill Barn, please park considerately. Photo: CNL

All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.

PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
