
Tysoe and the Vale of the Red Horse

A moderate walk with two lengthy climbs affording great views around the Vale of the Red Horse. interesting features are Shenington Airfield, Tysoe Windmill, Compton Wynyates and a local church known as the Cathedral of the Feldon.
Park in front of Tysoe Methodist Church [closed] or on street parking. This is a circular route and there is a café in Tysoe by the start and finish. Please bring a packed lunch.
This walk is organised by Cotswold Voluntary Wardens, the voluntary arm of the Cotswolds Conservation Board. These walks offer an interesting and often entertaining way of exploring our wonderful Cotswold countryside and landscape. All walks by the Voluntary Wardens are FREE OF CHARGE however donations are welcome and help us to take care of the countryside.
PLEASE: always remember to wear appropriate footwear because some walks may be steep and muddy in places. Dogs are not allowed on walks, except guide dogs and hearing dogs. It is advisable to check the website or call the Cotswolds Conservation Board (07841 663607) beforehand for details of any changes, particularly during bad weather.
