Public rights of way are open to everyone at any time and give you the right to walk, ride a horse or cycle along certain routes. Some rights of way are open to vehicles.

Landowner responsibilities
As the owner or occupier of land with a public right of way across it, you must

- keep the route visible
- and not obstruct or endanger users.

Problems with public rights of way
If you experience a problem with a public right of way contact the rights of way section of the highway authority through whose area the route passes.

Cotswolds National Landscape dealing with on-going maintenance of the Cotswold Way and co-ordinating management, along the longer routes.
