New! Calling all young people… take positive climate action in the Cotswolds!
Thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are running a new competition enabling young people to take positive climate action in and around the Cotswolds. This year we are inviting Scouts and Girl Guides to design a project that will tackle the climate crisis in or around the Cotswolds National Landscape for the chance to win up to £2,000 to implement their ideas.
The challenge
Work together to design an A3 poster that highlights the problem you want to address, how you will tackle it, and the positive difference it will make to your local area.
The prize
£500 to £2,000 to make your project a reality.
The winning teams will get their project funded in February 2027 and will have until 31 July 2027 to implement their projects.
Who can apply?
The competition is open to members of the Scout Association UK and Girlguiding, specifically Scout troops and Girl Guide units (aged 10 to 14 years old) located within 5 miles of the Cotswolds National Landscape.

If you are based outside of Cotswolds National Landscape, you can use Google Maps here to check whether you are within 5 miles of the boundary.
We recommend one application per troop or unit, though you may choose to run an internal competition between patrols before submitting your final entry.
How to apply
Group Leaders will need to fill out a short application form on behalf of their group.
