Common Connections brings people together to create a flourishing, connected landscape across the Cotswold hills, valleys, commons and farms — buzzing with wildlife, resilient to change, a place where nature and people can thrive.
The aim of this new and ambitious project is to connect high quality habitat along a 37km section of the Cotswold escarpment from Cleeve Common in the north to Coaley Peak in the south. It will also involve and connect the people that live and work in the area.
As part of this phase of work, we will:
- Develop the partnership model and governance
- Undertake mapping & ecological surveys
- Complete a conservation grazing feasibility study
- Explore community engagement models
- Design a delivery phase application
- Evaluate our work
With support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are undertaking critical feasibility work that will inform and evidence a future delivery phase project.
