Five grants awarded!

We’re delighted to announce that we have awarded five grants this month through our Caring for the Cotswolds funding scheme.

Thanks to the support of our local business members and The National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are delighted to announce that this month, we have awarded grants to the value of £16,000 supporting five new projects under our Caring for the Cotswolds scheme….

Under our Nature theme, our grantees will be helping birds and pollinators to flourish by restoring habitat at two diverse locations: Wolds End Orchard and at the Shorncote Reedbeds Nature Reserve within the Cotswold Lakes.

Under our Community theme, mental health charity, Headspace, will be transforming an overgrown allotment into a learning environment in Bourton-on-the-Water to deliver sessions for children and young people; while Common Soil, a community farm near Stroud, will be offering food growing and outdoor cookery sessions to engage migrants, refugees and asylum seekers.

And finally, Withington Village Hall will be working to re-open a permissive path that has been closed for public safety due to the dieback of ash trees.

We are delighted to be supporting these projects and we want to support more! We welcome applications from non-profit organisations for grants of £500 to £5,000 to support grassroots projects.

We’re accepting applications year-round and review them four times a year. Our next deadline is 12 April 2026.
